Just behind the handle to most water valves there is a nut around the stem of the valve. This “packing nut” seals the packing around the stem. If you have a slow leak around a stem of a valve, gently tighten the packing nut until the leak stops. This can save you from water damage especially in a manufactured home since the floors are made of particle board. If the leak persists, the valve may need replaced. Make us your first choice for plumbing needs, and happy Sunday!
